This book is the catalogue of Richard Deacon's 2005 exhibition, The Size Of It. Ninety-two small ceramic studies were placed along one side of the gallery, representing small vertebrae of the main body of the exhibition. The different formats, ranging from 5 cm to 12 m, and the different sculpting techniques and materials used to create these pieces, are characterised by the same spirit that defines a career spanning more than 20 years of work, represented in the exhibition.
The book features images of all the ceramic studies as well as the other works in the show - several large format ceramic pieces, drawings and four large sculptures. Also included are several essays and an interview with the artist.
